Football

Last weekend I went home to visit my family and while my brothers were outside playing football I went out to watch for a while. I wasn’t going to share these pictures until I talked to my brother Liam just a few minutes ago.

He told me that our grandparents are coming over for the football game this afternoon and Mom & Dad were making Chili for everyone. All of a sudden I got incredibly home sick. It’s days similar to this one that I miss my family the most. I have nothing going on but piles of homework and books in front of me and that doesn’t exactly take my mind off of home. I decided to take a short study break and ended up sifting through pictures of home and my family which is what led me to share these.

I know that it won’t be long before I see everyone again but regardless I miss them all like crazy!

While we exploring downtown in the Dells we came across this cute little town square with a New Orleans theme.

The boys immediately ran over to the fountain and I thought it would be a great picture.

Weekend at Home

 

Over labor day weekend I was able to make it home to spend it with my family.  Most of it was spent on the go but on Monday we had a family BBQ with the neighbors.  It was such a fun weekend filled with family, friends and laughter.

I’m glad I made it home to spend time with my family and all of the kiddos! I miss them all so much but being away makes it all the more special when I do get to spend time with them.

Baby Jace and Family

This week was definitely a busy one but we wound it down with a fun family BBQ. All of my family made the trip over to see our new little cousin Jace. He was definitely the center of attention all day!

Little Darby got to see his Nina and Nino and of course, his new "God brother"

     

He was such a sleepy little guy, he wouldn't open his eyes for us; Jade tried everything!

     

Jace was so sweet and tiny, I could hold him forever!

  

How cute is he? He finally opened his eyes for us and looked around for a bit!

I can't wait to live closer to this little guy!

It was such a fun day with the family. I'm so glad I was able to see everyone all at once, it doesn't happen very often!

Bridal Shower

Just this past weekend we had a bridal shower for my cousin, Jade, who is engaged to be married on      September 3rd, 2011.

 

It was a lot of hard work but so much fun to put together!

    

The cake pops were such a big hit and so much fun to make!

I am so excited for Jade and her fiancé Curt. They are both such great people and we all wish them the best of luck!

Family, Fishing and Fireworks

 

This week we took the boys to the park to go fishing and watch the fireworks… it was quite the experience but we all had a good time.

The boys really enjoyed fishing but for a 5 and 7 year old it got pretty boring fast. Regardless, they enjoyed their time with dad. They were sad that they didn’t catch anything but they’ll get the hang of it eventually.

Darby kept his chin up and kept trying but Jackson as you can see got sick of it and decided to hang out with mom instead!

The fireworks that night were so beautiful. The boys really enjoyed the show, but they were bummed when it was time to leave.

 

It was such a great night spent with the family! I love nights like these and look forward to many more!

Track

Once things started to wind down towards the end of the year I was finally able to make it to a few of Liam and Payton’s track meets.

I’ve never really done their sports so I was pretty pleased with the way the pictures turned out.

At this meet Liam qualified for state in both the mile and his relay!

So we headed to Gothenburg a few weeks later to watch him run…

I am so glad I was able to watch them run. I know they will do great these next few years!!
