It’s hard being away from my wonderful family and my adorable brothers and sister but this guy makes it just a little bit easier.
This little guy is always laughing and I’ve learned its impossible to catch him without a smile on his face!

This winter has been wonderful and filled with great weather. It got up to 70 a few days ago but, like always in Nebraska, it can go from 70 one day to 25 the next. This suddenly cold and dreary weather has me longing for the summer.
As I am getting anxious for the sunny season I started looking back through some photos I took this last summer
Most of my summers are spent outside at my brothers baseball games or with the kids that I watch. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my time.
These are some of my favorites shots. Ella’s chore for that day was to water the garden and I knew I could get some great photos.
I will be spending the upcoming summer watching three of the cutest little girls I know.
This little one, Addie, is just one of the three. I absolutely adore her and cannot wait to see what kind of adventures this new summer will have in store for us!!
Until then I will be hoping for a nice winter and an early, beautiful spring!

Where do I begin? This year has been such an incredible one filled with so many great memories and experiences for me and my family. This year was filled with so many achievements and opportunities that helped me grow along the way.
I graduated from high school and took a big step by choosing a school away from home.
I spent a week in San Diego at a conference for Invisible Children, an organization that I am incredibly passionate about. It has given me the opportunity to meet so many amazing people from all over and do what I love.
In August I ran the Lizzie Stratton Memorial 5k with my family. I had never ran more than a mile but I was able to run 3 with my mom, Jackson and Caden. (Liam and Payton and too fast for us)
I finished my first semester of college with great new friends. Sarah is one of the reasons I survive being away from home. I’m not sure what I would do with out her!
I have continued to pursue photography and this year I did a wedding for my beautiful cousin Jade and her husband Curt.
2011 was a great year and I was able to end it with my family. We spent our weekend in Omaha and I can’t think of anywhere else I would have wanted to be.
We spent our first night at an outdoor skating rink together after dinner.
Walking back to the hotel the boys found an outdoor fireplace to warm them up.
The rest of our weekend we spent at museums or lounging around the hotel.
I love my boys, they are pretty much the sweetest things ever

Every year I hope that at the end, I can look back and know that I have grown and made memories and this year I can honestly say that I have. I have a greater appreciation for my family and the time that I have with them, the education that I receive and the friends that support me day to day.
Blessings to everyone and may this year be filled with love, faith and great memories to share!
